Has anyone refused a vaccine?

I just thought I would add in here what I did to get out of the HPV vaccine.

I received a Hep B shot in Australia in 2006 and later on in 2007 when I was first in America I started to have some neurological problems. When I saw the neurologistin America he said he did not know what was wrong it could possibly be Multiple Sclerosis or something of the sort. When I returned to Australia I had to have a follow up MRI and see a neurologist there. He ruled out MS and also did not know what was wrong with me. So we left it. I did some research on my symptoms and foundthat the Hep B vaccine can cause demyelination to put it simply parts of your brain more particularly coatings that cover your nerves up there start to eat themselves away it also ocurs in MS. I was horrified as this is exactly what had happened to me and when my symptoms first started it was not long after I had received the Hep B shot. I left it until November when 4 days before I was supposed to be leaving for America I woke up and was not able to feel my legs. I called the neurologist and had an emergeny ppointment with him and he gave me steroids blah blah blah I ended taking the 25 hour trip to the states not being able to feel from my waist down.

I had forgotten about the link between Hep B and my symptoms becuase I was in such a panic of not being able to feel my legs and the fact tht I might not have been able to fly over here. However, after seriousl freaking out about this HPV vaccination I dcided to call my neurologist back in Australia and he said while he is not sure if Hep B could do this alone there is a DEFINITE chance that any vaccination could worsen my symptoms but he would not write this in letter so I could give it to the CS *sigh* So instead I gathered all of my reports and went to see a doctor here I was SO lucky to get a gorgeous doctor who also did not REALLY agree with the vaccine and when I explained it to her she immediatley said she would write me a note stating that I was not a good candidate for this vaccine. I had reports from my neurologist to show her but she didn't even want to see them.

Maybe other's can get away with just saying they have had a reaction? I wouldn't recommend this though if you don't have anything to back it up in case they ask to see it. IDK I am just glad I did not have to get the vaccine.

Hmmm... I just looked at the 693 form... my husband had his medical done on Friday... they did not give him the list of all those vaccines... The only ones they gave him were the MMR and Tetnus (which I didn't see on the list) ... Are most of those vaccines only required for certain people? I know HPV is only for women, but now I'm worried the 693 form won't be filled out right.
