HI ALL

After i finsihed the first AP at washington DC, the embassy in egypt asked for my fingerprints, then after they got it cleared, they put my case back into AP again. My wife sent them inquiry few days ago, and this is the reply:

Dear Madam

Thank you for your e-mail message.

Mr. ME's case is currently pending a mandatory administrative

check conducted at the Department of State and other federal agencies.

We are unable to process his case any further until this check is

completed.

Regards,

Consular Staff

so the question is what does they mean by 'other agencies'. I don't understand?, does this mean that my case will take infinite time to be done!!!

Other agencies include the Dept of Justice (FBI), Central Intelligence, Nat'l Secutiy Agency, Home;land Security. and any other federal agency that feeds info into this process.

I finally got rid of the never ending money drain. I called the plumber, and got the problem fixed. I wish her the best.

thank you for reply.

But what does this mean, does it mean that i have problems, and if there are some, so what possible they are?

An administrative processing has been done previously. and this is another one, so has any one of you information abotu if the second AP can take any longer?

aslamo alikom Just_waiting,

yes the embassy took a full set of my fingerprints, so what do you think?

thanks

Walaikum asalam Ahmed,

From what other VJ members have stated in the past, when a full set of prints is requested, there has been a name hit on one of the checks and the prints are necessary to validate exactly who you are. I'm hoping that other members can give you even more information.

I am not sure, but I have heard from others that it generally takes around4-6 weeks but can take up to 12 weeks. It depends on how quickly they find or do not find the information they are looking for.

Ahmed, if you know anything I should need to know about the american consulate in Cairo, let me know. My fiance, Hitham, do not know what to expect, particularly about what the proceedure is in Egypt. we have filed a i-129f petition in march. to answer your question, i believe your prints have to be checked by the FBI .

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

Hi Jabree,

for the interview of your finace, inshallah it will goes well, mine was good, i believe most of consulars are nice people. Just be prepared. Have him take everything can prove your relationship , like photos, phone records, chats, etc. ASK YOUR EGYPTIAN FIANCEE TO REPLY ONLY FOR WHAT HE ASKED FOR, there is no needs for donation with more information, consulars, i believe, don't like talkative people, they know what they need to know and they are asking for it.Of course he should CAREFULLY get every single paper they asked for , because i forgot to bring they the birth certificate, but they were nice allhmdulelah, and didn't cancel my interview appointment. Tell Hitham to have confidence that everything will goes fine. Only its little hot in the embassy, so he have to take it.

i wish you the best, and i ask you for prayers to get my visa, its now have been 5 months, and no news.

good luck

I know from personal experience the frustration of these new security checks. There are cumbersome, but just bureacratic proceedure. I PMed you to give you an example I hope will make you feel a little more relaxed.

Thank you, Ahmed. Of course I will pray for you. I dont think anything thing can be accomplished without God's intervention. I am just going by faith, here, because if I looked at our situation thru the worlds eyes, I would have no hope. I will relay your message to Hitham, he has less faith than I do. Maybe it will help him. Unlike you, we are not married yet, filed the K-1 in march, and just recieved the request for evidence yesterday ( AMBRA ). Thanks again, Best wishes to you and your wife.

Hi Jabree and welcome to VJ and our little corner. We filed a K1 back in September and are awaiting his processing to be completed through Cairo too. Ahmed gave you very good advice. I understand your feelings of doubt, but keep your faith, use us as a support system here when you need it! That's what we're here for. Love always finds a way, especially when you trust in Allah. If you would like to drop me a message, you're more then welcome.
