Not everything need be just.

On Foreign Policy, if our actions are injust, we invite scrutiny and criticism from the rest of the world. The last Administration basically said that they didn't care what the rest of the world thinks. Sounded an awful lot like Saddam Hussein's attitude.

Well not exactly.

Sticking to the context of the topic; Bush in fact kept his country safe, we can hardly say the same for Saddam.

The Bush doctrine was a horrible failure & Obama is trying to actually use diplomacy. If the right wingers don't agree with his policies that's fine, but if you think going back to the Bush policies is the solution you are delusional. So what do you right wingers suggest as a 3rd alternative?

I think the Obama doctrine is great. Im just worried about him wearing out the knees of his pants! Maybe he should just wear a dress? That would also get him lots of the travestite vote.

The real crime is that an entire nation of good hard working people are judges solely by their leader. Was a program on PBS radio this morning the Chavez offered Obama an open hand of friendship, and how should Obama reacted? Give him the finger, push him away, turn his head, or just shake his hand? No matter what he did, would be criticized by it.

yep, he's damned if he does and damned if he doesn't

"Shaking hands" was not the issue, no one goes to meet a leader and not shake hands.

What we are talking about is Obama sitting like a freshman while these leaders trashed his country..... and how did Barry come-out-swinging in defense?

He said something like, "I hope you aren't blaming me for stuff that happened when I was a kid".

Even Bill Clinton would have threw something back at them.

What did "these leaders" say about the United States that "trashed his country?" Or, are you simply parroting Rush, Sean, and Bill, without knowing anything at all about the content of the speeches?

Are you playing stupid or you really don't know?

It was a 50 minute, one sided history lesson by a thug to the leader of our country.

I'm sure you can google it, but believe me it's rather boring.

So Obamas big "open arms" tour resulted not in national leaders meeting and paying respect to one another but they took this occasion to sit Obama down for a 50 minute history lesson.

Chavez greets Barry with a gift... a booklet "Open Veins of Latin America: Five Centuries of the Pillage of a Continent."

It's one thing to be loved around the world, it's another thing to be "respected" Obama clearly was not respected, lets hope he learns from this "Back slapping with Dictators" event and starts acting like a World leader rather than a "Claims adjuster".
