Pat Buchanan on Obama in Latin America: "The most shameful and pathetic performance by an American leader at a summit in my lifetime"

I'm still waiting to Obama's servile pandering to pay off somehow. Ok, he's more popular in the places that didn't like Bush but to what end? Bush and Chavez didn't get along but that was going to happen anyway with Chavez parroting Castro and the new breed of old Latin American Marxists. Venezuelan oil flows either way.

Having Saudi Arabia on friendly terms is a good thing too.

Always nice to on the good side of a despotic nation filled with oil. Still like how Obama touts his exposure to Islam growing up while abroad but running full speed away from it in the US. His dad and Indonesia got buried in favor of his life in Kansas with his WWII vet grandfather.

Personally I'd rather see other nations burning less US flags and chanting USA, A-OK more often.

They aren't cheering the US just Obama when he slams the US.

When has Obama slammed the U.S.? Sources?

We really should exact more pressure on Saudi Arabia. Otherwise, it's just selective democracy.

So, in Republican-speak, "he wasn't a total ####### to our adversaries" equates to "shameful and pathetic performance". Gotcha.

What did Bush say abroad that was so nasty anyway? You should be able to give me a lot of examples for an 8 year period vs. Obama's 3 three months of grinning with every tin pot Latin American leader, apologizing to European leaders and bowing (I mean stretching his back) with the Saudi king. The only real enemies for Obama are here at home.

Again- where's the payoff in diplomacy now or in the future. I'd love for him to SUCCEED somewhere besides just killing three teenage pirates. I'm sure the troops headed for Afghanistan would like it too.
