I am scouring Free Republic to see what the freaks have to say about this.

Here's an image posted there, in response to this.

Pat has all the credibility of Rush Limbaugh in a package about 25 lbs lighter...

Forgive me for saying it but, you are talking out of your azz.

I enjoy Rush but to compare these two is a display of ignorance.

While Rush is the ultimate un-spin master,.... undoing spin and re-spinning it.

Pat Buchanan is a very principled writer who has never followed a party line or worked to further anything but his own principles. As an example, He was against the Iraq war long before most on the left were.

He has often give Obama thumbs=up when it's deserved. In this case, Obama bombed so badly, my concerns about him are now spreading to areas, I once had confidence in.

Can anyone Image JFK doing something like this?

How did you come to the conclusion that President Obama "bombed so badly?" Because Pat Buchanan said so?

Pat Buchanan could not even come up with one single point from President Ortega's speech that was not true.

So, you think Danny Ortega was completely accurate in his 50 minute presentation?

Of course he does. In fact he and Ortega have one thing in common, they both agree America "could be" a good country... someday.

Yet more signs of a failed argument...avoiding the subject and putting words in someone's mouth. At least you could try something different like Mr. Bill did...answering a question with a question.

Perhaps you don't have a clue about what President Ortega said and are simply parroting Pat Buchanan.

I don't know what the big deal is about, in say like a sporting event when I was boxing, it was very appropriate to shake the hand of your opponent, before you pounded the ####### out of him.

Like it or not, Chavez is the legal leader of Venezuela, though it's very questionable as how he got there. But in like manner, Bush was our legal leader as well, with equally very questionable as to how he got there, first in Florida, than in Ohio. And the way Bush treated Chavez, only made matters worse between our two countries. I am concerned, I have in-laws living there. Bush was pushing Chavez toward Russia, and saw that as a huge mistake, especially since Russia is going crazy again.

It was bad enough on my family when we were at war with Italy during WW II, but with US backing, the Italians hung Mussolini, perhaps with US backing and support, the Venezuelans will do the same to Chavez. Can only hope for that. We sure don't want Russian missiles in Venezuela pointed at us and being nasty would certainly promote that.

On this issue, since I am personally involved, feel like Pat is being a rumphole.

Fixored.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

Rush may be a bigger douche, but a douche is a douche, thus the comparison stands in my opinion.

Given the eight years leading up to the vast array of crisis which the W era has inflicted on both this country and the world, it is pathetic to see all of the blame heaped upon Obama, and every effort made to declare everything he does a disaster which will ruin us forever as a nation. Bush was the king of putzes and America survived, rest assured we will survive Obama too. And since we are just a few months into his first term, I for one am willing to still hope we end up thriving.

Yeah we got all that,

... but you never told me "when" the Obama Grace period is up? How long must we remain silent?

Personally I don't think it has anything to do with giving Obama a "grace period" - as much people shaking their heads at others who continue to buy into mad hysteria, and go off on hyperbolic diatribes about every little thing the man says and does.

When even bows, nods, smiles, and eyebrow raises become the basis for 1500 word op-ed articles - I'm sorry, but that's just ridiculous.

Most pathetic? I dunno. I think I might give that one to George Bush Sr when he puked at the Japanese dinner.

Even though I wouldn't have voted for Obama if I could vote. His friendship and likability with foreign leaders is precisely why he was the better candidate over McCain. Who else but Obama could get Hugo "I hate everything about the USA" Chavez to become buddy buddy friendly with us? Having Saudi Arabia on friendly terms is a good thing too. Does anybody see anything wrong with getting rid of the stalemate that is Cuba? We send our Olympians to China and buy oil from the middle east. But somehow Cuba needed to be blockaded. Why? The Cuban missile crisis as over 45 years ago. The Berlin wall came down 45 years after WWII ended and nobody has seen any problems with that.

Personally I'd rather see other nations burning less US flags and chanting USA, A-OK more often.

I agree, is it Obama being weak? Or is he a brilliant diplomat who has Chavez and co shaking HIS hand?

Forgive me, not a big fan of Pat no matter what is coming out of his azz. Telling the rest of the world to kiss his Bushy Azz clearly failed to work out, give Obama a chance. If not, find a candidate who can win in four years.

One need not be a fan to see the comparison was off.

Ps: "Give Obama a Chance"... we keep hearing that talking-point over and over.

exactly when is it we can make comment? ( tell me, I really will make it on my calendar)

Generally, it's 100 days that a president gets to show some sign of his mettle. Now, I'm sure that liberals will want a whole year, and many conservatives won't give him 5 minutes. Thats the state of our political system.

Pat Buchanan is more of a Libertarian than a Republican. Like his politics or not, the man speaks from his heart and doesn't hold anything back. If he thinks you're full of it, he'll tell you to your face, regardless of your party affiliation. If you dont' like it, you don't have to watch him on MSNBC.

I'm still waiting to Obama's servile pandering to pay off somehow. Ok, he's more popular in the places that didn't like Bush but to what end? Bush and Chavez didn't get along but that was going to happen anyway with Chavez parroting Castro and the new breed of old Latin American Marxists. Venezuelan oil flows either way.

Having Saudi Arabia on friendly terms is a good thing too.

Always nice to on the good side of a despotic nation filled with oil. Still like how Obama touts his exposure to Islam growing up while abroad but running full speed away from it in the US. His dad and Indonesia got buried in favor of his life in Kansas with his WWII vet grandfather.

Personally I'd rather see other nations burning less US flags and chanting USA, A-OK more often.

They aren't cheering the US just Obama when he slams the US.
