Hi guys

I am preparing for my I-751 and have two questions I would like to ask.

Q 1: When I was reading the instruction, I saw no. Financial records showing joint owndership of assets and responsibilities for liabilities. My hubby and I only have mortagage loan together, no car loan or any other loan and our ultility bills are either on his name or my name. (no joint ultility bills) Can I still use our ultility bills to prove our marriage since they all have the same address? (its either his name or my name on the bill) What else do you guys use to prove your relationship?

Q 2: no. 5 Affidavits sworn to or affimed by at least two people who have known both of you isnce your conditional residence was granted and have personal knowlege of your marriage and relationship. I dont quite understand this one. What should I do? Write down two people's name and their info on the sheet or something? Please help me, I am getting very confused.

Thanks.

Hello,

Ans1: Anything that would show joint financial responsibility or ownership, such as (and may not be limited to) joint checking, savings, credit card accounts, joint federal tax returns, insurance policies such as life, health insurance policies that show you as beneficiary, car insurance policies, if you have a pet any vet bills showing both you and your spouse's names.. these documents are actually listed in the I-751 instructions if you read carefully, vet bill being an exception.

Ans2: You may wish to use the VJ examples as guide for the affidavits, or to give you an idea on how to make them. Here's the link http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...p;page=examples look under the I-751 Lifting of Conditions Category

The affidavit is a simple letter from your family or friends which should show personal knowledge to your marriage and relationship with your spouse.
