OK, For the letter of intent can I print one and we both sign it? My fiance does not write engllish he speaks spanish and also speaks a little english. I speak spaniah myself. SO we him writting a letter of intent it it would be in spanish. If he wrote one in spanish could i send a translated copy by me or does it have to be done professionally? Or can I can make on letter in engliah for the both of us and we both sign it?

You need one from each of you - not a single one signed by both.

Why don't you simply write/type one for her and have her sign it?

Compose one for yourself, and sign it. Compose one in English for him, e-mail it to him as an attachment (in Word or similar), and have him print it and sign it. Then, have him MAIL that HARD (signed) COPY back to you, or you can retrieve it personally if you're visiting him soon. This will work fine for you.

You should send him the letter in spanish also - so he knows what he is signing, if he doesn't understand english as you said.

That way, if they ask him in the interview about it - he knows what is going on with it!

However.......these letters go with the I-129 petition and eventually end up at the Embassy interview. Doing this may raise the red flag on How do you two communicate?

That could be grounds for a denial. I suggest English only.

OP says she speaks Spanish also, so communication is not an issue here. at the interview stage you can choose to have the interview in English or Spanish, so why not be honest and up front about it, this way he can have a fair interview, so i don't see a red flag here.

My fisnce hand wrote her letter in Portuguese and I translated it on another page and stapled them together.

The same with her explination of how we met, hers in Portuguese and translated to English.

Our interview in Rio was totally in Portuguese .

Si, man, and we're all getting wound up in our own underwear here. USCIS doesn't care who speaks what as long as everything that's submitted to them is in English. By the time you reach the consular interview, you almost certainly won't be asked about the letter of intent, and should you be, the questioning won't extend to "did your fiance know enough English back in April 2009 to know what this letter of intent said when he signed it?"

Our K-1 petition took so long to process that, for the first consular interview, we did a second set of the letters of intent, with dates closer to the interview date. After my fiancee was kicked out of her interview after three minutes with the "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!" poppycock, and my U.S.-citizen hindquarters were ORDERED down to Ecuador on my time and my dime for the "joint" "marriage" interview that turned out to be the Stokes interrogation, I even prepared a THIRD letter of intent, which contained language a bit more intense than did the first two. Fortunately, that's probably an all-time record that only other interviewees in Ecuador need worry about equaling. OP, just do your fiance's letter in English and get his original signature on it, and you'll be fine, si man.
