No middle name in my passport

I was just going through all my paperwork for my interview and I noticed something I had never noticed before. My Packet 3 and interview letter from Montreal all have my first, middle and last name on them. However, upon looking at my passport, I noticed I never had my middle name included in it. I never use my middle name, and i'm not very fond of it, so I decided it wasn't needed in the passport. When I went to renew a couple months ago, and I never bothered adding it because I wouldn't have been able to use the simplified renewal form.

I never lied on any forms, it always asked "middle name," not "middle name as listed in passport." On the DS 156 it said "names listed on passport" and I left out my middle name. Is the fact my middle name is missing from my passport but is included on other correspondences with the consulate going to be a problem when I go for my interview? It this something silly to worry about?

Yes, it is silly to worry about. It just means that you have probably almost everything in order and you're looking for something to be wrong. This process make us all worry about the strangest, minutest details. So in that sense, you're completely normal.

No worries. They have your BC. Having your middle name in your passport is not a requirement. I haven't had my middle name in my passport for about 10 years

We have enough nut-cases freaking out about things having to do with immigration... this one doesn't have a middle name in the passport - boot her outta here!!! We're not going to admit another nut-case into the country!!!"
