My dog is named Lucky and I love him way too much to have him sit anywhere but in the front seat next to me with his seat belt on. He is humanoid...

This reminds of something that happened to my wife and I when we were in Houston.

We were driving towards the museum district and out of nowhere, a kitten was tossed out of the SUV in front of us. There were cars on both sides and behind us, so we couldn't turn. The kitten bounced around the underside of the SUV and its tired for a moment and then flew towards us. We then heard a relatively small thump.

I looked in my rear view mirror and saw the smashed bloody mess behind us. My wife saw it too and felt sick. She said she was disturbed for most of the day and even now, I can't bring it up. My wife and I have always preferred dogs to cats, but even so, we didn't want to see a kitten run over.
