Hi Everyone,

Our NOA 2 got (finally) Approved!!! on 14Apr'09.

Well, as usual was checking the USCIS site and finally saw some change in the Last Updated Date. Last Updated Date showed 14Apr'09. was pretty excited and was awaiting the Approval email. On 18Apr'09 my Husband recd Hard Copy of the NOA 2 which said that the case was approved on 14Apr'09 and has been sent to NVC. Well even as of today the USCIS site shows Status as 'Case Recieved and Pending'.

Well the letter says - "NVC will contact the person for whom you are petitioning (beneficiary) concerning further immigrant visa processing steps.". How will NVC contact me? and when do we get the NVC Case No.?

Congrats. NVC will mail you via USPS. But wait a week or so them call NVC see if they asssigned you a case number yet, you will use your USCIS case number when you do call NVC. Read the WIKI guides on NVC, and the procedure will be a cit clearer, and read the NVC shortcuts also to make yur jurney thru NVC a bit quicker.

Congrats again :dance::dance:

Truly happy!!!

New life, new adventures, and a new attitude.

Congrats PK.... mine is still showing pending with USCIS.... now call NVC and check with the automated machine (press 1, 1, and then 2, and then press your USCIS receipt number) and see if the case number was assigned or not... when you have the case number call NVC and talk to an operator and tell them your email addresses, yours and the petitioner's too... and then they will email you what is needed... congrats and good luck!! :)

CONGRATULATIONS

and welcome to NVC.

Call the NVC in next couple of days and if you are lucky, you will have your NVC case#. Also, you can try NVC automated phone service (use your USCIS receipt#).

I would suggest get ready with DS-3032, which is very first and important step to complete NVC journey quickly.

Also, read LingChe NVC shortcut, James shortcut and Loto guide at VJ and NVC @ http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3195.html for document preparation and other related info.

Congratulations and best of luck at NVC.

As others have mentioned, read through all of the guides and familiarize yourself with the NVC process. Give it about a week and then call NVC (603-334-0700) to see if they have assigned your case number. Start collecting all of the required information for your I-864 and DS-230. Once the NVC process begins, time will fly! Good luck :thumbs:

Congrats on your approval.

The only NVC advice I can give you is to send the AOS and DS-230 at the same time after the AOS and IV bills are paid. It saved us some time.

It is quicker for you to contact NVC rather than waiting for them to contact you. Speak to an operator and not rely on the AVR.

Good luck.
