We still have to go through interview process but based on my experience on VJ, they do not ask for petitioner birth certificate.

I would suggest take whatever you have with you currently.

The petitioner's birth certificate isn't necessary, but the beneficiary's birth certificate is required.

No, the petitioners birth certificate isn't needed at the embassy interview...i was fortunate enough to attend my wife's interview and they didn't even ask to see my passport (they also didn't even ask for her birth certificate, as we had already sent the original to NVC)...good luck on your upcoming interview!!

No, the petitioner's birth certificate was only required when filing the I130. It's not required at the interview.

Just to add more, if you were born in some other country and now are citizen of US, then Naturalization Certificate can work too (instead of birth certificate). But again, like msnoob said, all these are required during I-130 filing time...

i was reading the travel.state website and i read that the consulate might ask for it.... i hope that they dont.... fingers crossed they wont! :)
