Hi there,

I know I am asking alot currently, sorry for that. I just checked the homepage of the German Consulate and there is nothing stated what happens after NVC sends the completed case (CR1) to the embassy. Do I still get a so called Packet 3 and all that? And if so...what is included?

For CR-1, I don't think they have what they call "Packet 3". Maybe I'm wrong. NVC sends you (the petitioner and/or beneficiary) everything: the DS-3032, the bills for I-864 and IV, the I-864, the DS-230. So I guess when the case is completed at the NVC level, all you'll need is the interview letter (and info for the medical?). I myself just got my case completed and am waiting for further instructions.

For K-3, you get the "packet 3" from the consulate. This includes several information and forms (like the checklist, DS-230, 156, info on medical).

It might be different for us Canadians, 'cause we have to send in our birth certificate, marriage certificate, DS-230 parts I & II, etc. to the NVC, whereas someone from Germany just sends in the completed DS-230 part I and a photocopy of the biographic page from their passport?

Well I just had my case forwarded to the Embassy in cotonou and am awaiting my husbands interview on July 5........I'm so happyyyyyyyyyy:):)

This is what happened with us..

On may 18 case was completed....

on June 5 case forwarded to US consulate........

On june 10 case arrived.......and The consulate called my husband and told him to come in for paperwork

He went and they asked for 8 photos and informed him that he would need new police clearances since they expire after 2 months.......

When he returned with the 8 photos they gave him the medical papers(considered packet 4)

Now if you Have not filled out the A of S than the consulate will call your husband for the medical paperwork (packet 4) and give him a checklist for the A of S (packet 3) for him to bring with him to the interview.............

Hope I was of any help.........

Good luck :):)
