I don't think McCain would have been the answer either.

true, and I agree with you... no doubt....however, I don't think he would have ever bowed to an arabian king...once again..No American president who has balls will bow to anyone. Even for respect.

Do balls make one a better leader? Will bowing make his policies fail? I don't think he should have bowed either, but it has no effect on his leadership.

Michelle Obama touched the Queen of England, she put her arm around her. I'm surprised you didn't hear "Release the hounds!". Major Faux Pas.

I don't care who you are, most powerful man or not, you bow to royalty. Did Bush bow when he met the Queen? I bet he did. If he did then are people upset at which king Obama bowed too? Was it an inferior country?

Word.

Disagree. Bowing to royalty is a sign of weakness. You're Brit, I don't expect you to know any better, but Obama should.

Having a drinking problem is a sign of weakness. Not being able to form a complete sentence is a sign of weakness. Just what kind of weakness are we talking about? That Obama would crawl into a ball and cry like a baby if the Saudi King told him to go f##k himself?

As much as I dislike royalty, I see Obama's actions as merely a respectful gesture. Think of it like the military: any officer (higher ranking or not) must ask permission of the presiding Captain if he or she wishes to board that Captain's ship.

It's basically saying, "I know this is your territory, so I'll follow your rules. Come to mine and I will expect the same in return."

I'm not watching it, it's too long. Maybe VW will.

You're always thinking of me, How sweet.

Unless London now belongs to the Sauds, Obama wasn't bowing to the Abdullah out of respect for his territory.

It is a matter of respect.

However I am a bit pissed that he didn't bow to the Queen of England, the monarch of the US closest ally, but he did to the king of wherever. Then again the queen probably would have thought, "Oh do get up, you silly man".

Prince Philip would have been thinking something far more inappropriate
