Anyone visiting their fiance(e)'s while waiting for their petitions to be sorted out under this new IMBRA law?

I finish my job in a few weeks and plan to stay with my fiance for 8 weeks, for the summer or until this all gets resolved with the IMBRA law they just put out.

It's like living in hell waiting for them to sort all this mess out, can't wait to be in my baby's arms again.

I am leaving in 3 weeks to see my fiance in Greece. Can't wait!!!! I haven't seen him since the end of January and I miss him terribly.

Process will have to go on without me here. Only one week away though :( you are lucky you are spending 8 weeks!!!!!!

January 29, 2006 - WE GOT ENGAGED!!

March 20, 2006- mail K-1 VISA (certified & return receipt).

March 22, 2006 - Vermont office receives our application.

March 23, 2006 - NOA1

March 24, 2006 - Check is cashed

April 22, 2006 - Receive email from USCIS that RFE is mailed for more information.

April 28, 2006 - Receive RFE in the mail. Need final divorce decree from Andreas.

June 20, 2006 - 2nd RFE (IMBRA)

June 23, 2006 - Received RFE (IMBRA) in the mail.

June 24, 2006 - FedEx IMBRA RFE to Vermont office.

June 27, 2006 - Vermont Office received IMBRA RFE.

July 3, 2006 - Touched

July 12, 2005 - Fedex request for extension for the 1st RFE.

July 17, 2006 - Deadline for 1st RFE.

July 18, 2006 - Touched

July 19, 2006 - Touched

July 20, 2006 - Touched

August 6, 2006 - Touched

August 17, 2006 - Touched and email that a letter has been sent with regards to RFE.

August 23, 2006 - Letter received, we got the extension I requested, they allowed us 3 MORE MONTHS!!!

October 27, 2006 - Papers mailed by courier from Athens.

wow since the end of January! god I bet you miss him absolutely terribly, I last saw my fiance 6 weeks ago, I can't imagine the same amount of time you've waited! the longest I've been away from my fiance was 3 months, that was so hard.

My fiance will be supporting me while I'm out there, while we are waiting for our petition to be approved (again), just hoping immigration at the airport will be fine with me staying for that long, I know some immigration officers can be really uptight and ask you 101 questions as to why I wanna stay that long, it's quite a simple answer, to be with my fiance.

I hope you have a fantastic time with your fiance, cheerish every moment together! :)

I'm the beneficiary living in Australia. I'm visiting my fiance in Los Angeles in three weeks. Can't wait. As soon as I discovered the IMBRA hold ups we decided we couldn't wait for the K-1 before seeing each other. I'm hoping we receive the RFE while I'm there , if not before. Actually I'm hoping we get the approval while I'm there - I'm allowed to dream!!

Mine just left after being here for 4 weeks.... just be sure you have plenty of evidence with you to prove you still have ties back home. There have been some who have been denied entry....

No, but I am making plans to cancel the K-1, get hitched in Vegas, go through the LA consulate for a spousal visa and go live with him in England for a year while we do a CR-1.

I should be with him in September. :D

I've been waiting since January and feel like I am loosing my mind. Still waiting to get the impending RFE before my already approved fiance can get her interview. I hope things move smoothly for all of us.

JULY: Met Ana when my Russian tenants had a BBQ at my house

OCTOBER: Ana's visa about to expire time to go home to Moldova

JANUARY 2006: Flew to Moldova to ask her parents permission to marry her

MARCH 3: I-129F sent to Vermont Service Center

MARCH 10: NOA1 Received

APRIL 26: NOA 2 Received Approval

APRIL 28: NVC forwarded to Embassy in Romania

MAY 5: Received by US Embassy in Romania

MAY 12: Packet 3 Received

MAY 17: Packet 3 sent to US Embassy in Romania

MAY 17: Fiance notified of impending RFE due to IMBRA LAW
