If she lives near by she can hand deliver it to the consulate. I think putting all the relevant information on the evelope is also a good idea.

Word of caution, you should conact the consulate to see if they will accept your Packet 3. remember, Mike 1972e said they would not keep his Packet because of the IMBRA law. and that he may need to re submit all the information for packet 3. Call the consulate and see what they say, or maybe someone else here can add to this.

Good luck!

Loan just put everything in the envelope, noted her case number on the outside and returned it back to the Consulate in person. I told Loan not to used the mail service in Vietnam. They are extremely unreliable. Good luck

I used to be indecisive. Now I am just not sure ...

songsparrow,

We also did the hand delivery to the Consulate. Worked fine! :D

Do heed Bruce's advice and follow up with the Consulate 1 or 2 weeks later to make sure that packet 3 was received.

I did just that tonight and they confirmed receipt but couldn't give me the interview date yet as it goes through processing. She then told me it could be between 2-4 months...basically the exact script of the email you posted a few weeks ago STL. But based on current timelines between Packet 3 and 4, I'm guessing I should have the date in a couple weeks. ohpleaseohpleaseohplease!

I also read about that, and I was even aware of some new law going into effect March 6th. But our petition was recieved well before that date back in February. I was told it wouldnt fall under the new law. I think Mike's was received after that March 6th date according to his timeline.

Anyway, Im glad you guys are saying she can hand deliver it to the consulate. Yeah, she drives past it on her way to work everyday and she even said she could do it that way. But again I wasnt sure.. I thought it would be such a zoo there that maybe a hand delivered envelope may get displaced.. BUt if many already do it that way, I guess its a good Idea. Thanks :)

Songsparrow,

You can hand deliver our package. Make sure to make a complete copy of everything you are handing over to the Consulate. Just in case!
