I needed a book for the plane, so I got "A Game of Thrones" by George R. R. Martin. If you're into fantasy, it's an excellent read.

Seven books planned in the series, four published so far.

According to Wikipedia it's been picked up by HBO and the plan is to make it a miniseries. Kind of like "Rome".

More from The Secret :secret:

"Imagination is everything. It is the preview of life's coming attractions." ~Albert Einstein

(L) Expectation is a powerful attractive force. Expect the things you want, and don't expect the things you don't want.

(L) Gratitude is a powerful process for shifting your energy and bringing more of what you want into your life. Be grateful for what you already have, and you will attract more good things.

(L) Giving thanks for what you want in advance turbo-charges your desires and sends a more powerful signal out into the Universe.

I am re-reading "Good Omens" by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett.. who doesn't love a good comedy about armageddon?!

I just read "The Hour I First Believed" by Wally Lamb and it was pretty depressing.

I'm heading to the library today... I'll check in here again if I find anything excellent :)

I am finishing up Confessions of a Shopaholic and then will rent it on DVD. Enjoyable read. It's always interesting to see how novels are translated to the big screen. (Sometimes disappointing) I always read the novels first so I am privy to the character's thoughts that they are unable to show on the big screen. I think this is where people have problems with "book to film " versions and don't fully understand the dynamic of these two very diverse mediums. :reading:

Maybe? Is it your first?

I forgot to mention I finished the book, "Whatever Happened to Egyptians". It was an interesting read written by a scholar from personal perspective applying academic knowledge. He compared the time he grew up and his parent grew up to the time his children grew up and went over the reasons for all the changes in the society through a collection of essays.
