The approval notice was received by April 18 and we had our passports stamped in June.

Greencards have not arrived yet. This has been a long wait and when the approval came, I could hardly bring myself to feel happy.

Life may become esasiear for us now but we spent over 500 U$ in unecessary APs and work permit for my son and I because no one could tell us

1. the state of our application

2. a timeline for approval

They kept telling us that the process was in background security check what is a lie. There is absolutely nothing in my records, fingerprints, nationality or affiliations that even hint at a security problem. Much less my 11 year old son.

I am fed up with USCIS officer's lack of accountability, mostly in what pertains Baltimore office. I wish I could do that in my job. Leave the custummers in the dark regarding the progress of the work I have to do for them and simply say "it is being checked by FBI".

Alex.

A security "problem" applicant doesn't necessarily have any hints in his/her background. ;) I can appreciate your frustration, but its done for a reason.

Congrats on the approval! :)

You can 'catch' me on here and on FBI.
