I just received a letter from VSC requesting for more evidence 10 months after sending them my I-751???? Is this normal? I mean, I made made sure they got enough evidence when I applied in May 2008...Why are they doing to me? Can someone explain this to me?

VSC is taking about 12 months to process applications. To me, it just means they are now looking at your case and are requesting more information. You may want to post what you sent so someone may suggest other documents. You may also search on here and see what you find. It seems there is always something else you could have sent. Good luck.

all I can think of sending would be a couple of affidavit from friends (letters) and some up-to-date statements from bank accounts, bill, lease and tax returns. I mean, nothing really happened in the last year...we didnt make any big purchases (house and cars). We didnt go on a trip...I've sent them plenty of pictures the first time so I cannot resend the same stuff I did the 1st time with my I-751.

Hard to say. Maybe since affidavits are "suggested" that's what they want. Lots of people don't submit them which I think isn't that smart as the instructions do mention such!

More ammo the better worked for me thruout the entire process with out a RFE or any problems.

It is not unusual. 10 months is a long time, many things can get changed in a year, VSC wants to be sure you are still living together as married couple. 2008 tax returns, recent utility bills and bank statements, updated lease, insurance cards sound good. Everything you can find showing that you are still together, plus you can send some extra information from previous years you have not send last year.

Could also be the quality control "un-lucky" draw. Could also be somehow they lost your original evidence. Could also be the IO woke up on the wrong side of the bed. Many many reasons. Did you file married joint tax return for year 2008? If yes, then send the transcript in. Also, if you didn't send in the affidavits from friends/family the first time, definitely do it this time. Also throw in some joint bills, magazine subscriptions, pet abdoptions, bank statements, etc etc, anything you can imagine. Also in the cover letter, I would write "If you feel that these submitted evidences are not satisfactory to your requirement, you're always welcome to visit our home, we're sure that you will find everything you need then. Thank you sincerely for your attention and kind assistance!"

I know your feeling. I would be upset too if I've wait for 10 months, then all of a sudden a RFE. But again it could just be an "un-lucky" draw. While dealing with the emotions, stay calm and this time be as organized as possible for the evidence. I've just purchased a plastic storage box and some folders at Office Depot. Started to organized everything, different forms, originals and copies, etc. etc. All organized and ready to be used. Everyone else can do the same thing, so there won't be panic when time comes. True, I didnt expect this RFE falling on my head at all, I thought I was done with this so I didnt save anymore evidences since a filed my I-751 in may 2008. So to all people who are filling for I-751 ,do like Jasminelily is doing and organize and save everything until you are approved.
