AOS "touched"

Hello from Italy! I have a question about the AOS.....We left America on May 31 and we are coming back on July 6. My last upload on the I485 was dated May 19 2006. Today I connected again to the USCIS web site and I had to change the password, since it expires every 90 days and u have to change it. So I changed and after that I entered the portfolio and there was a new upload on the I485 this time dated June 24 2006 (yesterday). What does that mean? Is that a bad sign? I alreday ahd my biometrics on May 11 and I already have the interview date scheduled for July 14. That's why we felt safe to leave......Now I'm worried that they are going to send me an RFE and I am here in Italy and I cannot do anything! I have already had all my analyses (for my mom's transplant) and the results came back on June 21, after 3 weeks. Our ticket back is for July 6 and I doubt we can change it in case something happens with the I 485. I'm basically afraid that 36 days outside the US is quite a long time. I'm scared I might be denied for that.

Usually when they touch your application and are going to send you something because of it, they will email you or your case will also be updated, not just the date. To play it safe, is there anyone in the USA who can check your mail for you? I think you are fine but just to put your mind at ease...

Maria has a K3 visa... she is fine to leave the country.

Yeah it sounds like you should be fine. When I got touched and received an rfe, they updated the message to say so.

We have K1 and K2 interviews on 13 July. We got touched on 24 June. I doubt it is anything to worry about.

same situation here.I received my interview letter a while ago, and my I-485 was touched twice since then,but nothing came in the mail.I keep my fingers crossed so they are only checking stuff and not going to change or cancel my interview

Our email is safe....b4 we left Mike opened up a mail box (we have a P.O Box) at our same address. o every letter is basically inside the box now. The only problem is that we have someone who can check it up (my brother in law) but he's kinda stupid and I never let him get too close to my stuff because he always looses things, especially letters. Thats why we opened up a new box. He could have gone there every day and got our email, but we simply dont trust him. I only have 10 days left here now, hopefully nothing will happen until then. Our main concern is about the timing.....like I know I can travel with my K3 visa but I am scared that there's a time limit. Like I cannot stay outside the US for like months and months. Does anyone know if there actually is a time limit?????

I know in some situations that they dont really like it if you spend more time out of the country than in it, but you are only there for a month and a bit. People use AP for that long, you are fine, try to relax and focus on Italy and your mom
