Is it too late to send I 751?

Hi, we are ready to send in the I-751 but I am a little nervous...My husbands green card expires June 4th and I took the statement in the directions, " send it DURING the 90 days before the expiration date" to mean that anytime during that 90 day window would be acceptable. Was I suppose to send it 90 days? or am I ok to send now? Please let me know....I hope I am not late on this one!

anytime between 90 days before and the expiration of the card... you are good to go
