I am an undergraduate student who got married to a Russian while studying abroad. Our I-130 was approved March 30, 2009 after filing on March 26 from Moscow US consulate.

I have been a dependent to my parents and have no tax returns or IRS statements, maybe in high school summer jobs had tax money taken out but always returned for lack of income level. My father in the US will be financially sponsoring my husband and fills all the requirements.

*Questions*

1. Is my dad my household member or joint sponsor? (I'm currently abroad, but have lease already signed with husband in US for Sept 2009 but technically my permanent address is my parents & I have been his listed dependent)

2. What do I need to prove I have no job (no where to mark student status!) and no IRS (I don't know how to get that from Russia anyway...).

My parents will be sending me the papers in one lump sum through fed ex so we'll have to get it right the first sending

Thank you!

Your post indicates filing an I-130 directly to a US consulate which results in a CR-1 or IR-1 spousal visa, so has nothing to do with a K-3 visa process. Moving this t consulate embassy forum.
