We are at 182 days on Monday and will be contacting our congressman's office in order to obtain a release form allowing the congressman's rep to make inquiries on our petition. We hope this will have some effect on speeding up our petition as like every couple in this process we do not enjoy being separated.

We hope we hear some good news for you both shortly as this is without a doubt and awful long time to be approved.

Our best wishes

Arthur and Roberta

Didn't you get a 'touch' on your case after the congressman's enquiry? Normally when they do an inquiry, the date from when it was last looked at is updated online.

Hi Svetlana- I am the USC (wife) and my husband is from Russia. When he was my fiance, we applied for the K-1. We got NOA2 by email on March 2, 2005. The case was transferred to the US embassy in Moscow Nov 16 2005.

250 days the file was at NVC. We did contact our congressmen (in TX at the time).

Then the Consular officer told us the visa interview would be Feb 15, 2006! I was able to get it rescheduled to Dec 19 2005 after telling him our case was at NVC for 250 days. Good luck!

Мой адрес svetlana.berg@gmail.com на всякий случай.
