rejection notice on kids aos

we just got a rejection notice on both kids aos papers for same reason . page 4 part 5 of i-485 my wife signed her name in the other than the above. so now my question is do we leave my step kids name in the printed and have my wife sign her name in signature ??? or do we have my wife sign her name and print her name and not put the kids name in at all??? thanks

she can sign her name... then note "as MOTHER of Minor Applicant"

You do not need to fill in the "prepared by others" part. You are all parties to the filing. This is for professionals, attorneys or visa services.

She should sign the child's name, clearly and legibly, then add "by (her name) mother of minor child" We did this for the K-1 interview and AOS for our youngest son and had no problems at all.

Question - did your children sign the initial form under "applicants certification"?

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

Ah - so she "printed" their name, didn't have their signature, and than put her signature as the preparer. So the RFE was sent because lack of the "applicants signature".
