Hello friends,

I received 'Appointment CVR Letter' from NVC via e-mail (in PDF format) for my parents. They have been schduled for an Interview in month of May at Mumbai (India) Consulate.

After reading to the appointment letter, I have doubt in my mind :

They put code 'O' against my marrige certificate and as per the letter 'O' means " The original document has been received and accepted as meeting post requirements.".

With all documents, I sent a notarized copy of my marriage certificate to NVC before. So, Do i need to send my marriage original certificate to my parents ? Do they ask for original during Interview ?

Please reply.. appreciated.

Thanks

Means they accepted your document.

So - your good to go.

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

Thanks for your promt reply..

But as in Appointment letter they mention : Please note that even though the applicant may have provided the NVC with a copy of a document, the applicant is still required to bring the original document to the visa interview.

Do I need to send my originals to India ? I have few doubt on postal service for timely delivery.

they asked my orignials marriage certificate and my birth certificate and the whole system so screwed up when i submit my I130 they asked my orginal birth ceritificate and when i submit my ds230 they asked the orignal birth certificate (nvc dont want any notary certificates) NVC have no idea how hard to get orginal copies .....

i'm still waiting for my case to be completed...
