Transgender bill is ‘insanity’

PEMBROKE — The Transgender Rights Bill, HB-1728, would allow men to enter women’s restrooms and locker rooms across Massachusetts, while giving special protections in the workplace and more to cross-dressers and transvestites.

If approved, this bill would put vulnerable women and children at risk and infringe upon everyone’s right to privacy.

The thought of my 5-year-old daughter going into a bathroom with a pervert! Come on, Massachusetts!

Let’s have a little respect. Who really thinks that some perverted hairy ape can toss on a wig, declare “itself” a woman and then go hang out in the locker room at the local health club?

Have you gone out of your minds?

Summary: This bill would ( a ) expand existing hate crimes laws to cover crimes based on gender identity or expression and ( b ) expand existing anti-discrimination laws to prohibit discrimination in employment, places of public accommodation, real estate, and education based on gender identity or expression.

I don't see what the big deal is...little boys use the same public restrooms as grown men. Unisex bathrooms can work if they are designed for privacy. Puritanical hangups.

The problem is identity, right? Some men who call themselves women don't want to go to the mens room because they're not men, right? Fine, don't call it the mens room anymore. Call it the ####### room. And call the other room the ####### room. And make a third room for the 'differently abled'. This way no one has to identify with a gender. Just identify the equipment you have and go to the room that matches.

I was reading the full text of the bill and it does allow for segration on the basis of sex. I was not able to find the section yet that makes that a personal choice, or a clinical choice. It is a long bill!
