Processing times don't matter. My I-751 was transfered to CSC on March 4 and I got an approval on April 6 with misspelled name. Called customer service and they told me that the last notice on my file is a transfer and no approval. They took my corrections anyway. As a reslt, no card yet.

At the same time, my friend got her approval on an interview in July last year, and her file was only officially updated in december. Go figure! I don't even know what to expect anymore.

Processing times are useful as a sugestion, but don't take it seriously

9/17/08 - mailed I-751 to VSC

10/23/08 - biometrics

3/4/09 - transfer to CSC

4/6/09 - approval letter

../../.. - GC? maybe?

Hello Beka,

Welcome to our forum. Approval letter with a mispelled name is another mess that is out of our control, sucks even more. But hopefully your phone call caught their mistake on time before they send out the card production order. Here's good luck for the rest of our journey.

Thanks :star: I'm really glad I found this website. It really helps with my paranoid stuff about papers:)

Figured recently that a misspelled name is not such a big deal, as long as the card comes.

BTW, good job on updating your nationality and throwing a couple of bills:) Not many people do it on their own without a lawyer, so big respect. I'm sure you will get it.

9/17/08 - I-751 received by VSC

10/30/08 - biometrics

3/5/09 - transfer to CSC

4/21/09 - 'card in process' letter received by mail dated 4/16/09

5/8/09 - GC arrived in mail:)

12/23/11 - N-400 sent

4/21/12 - Citizenship interview

1/9/13 - I-130 approved, case forwarded to NVC

2/7/13 - AOS fee e-mail request

2/9/13 - AOS fee paid

2/16/13 - AOS mailed out

Thanks for the nice comments! We are all in the same boat so we all still have to hang in there tight. I believe there's always light at the end of the tunnel. I don't believe in lawyers, well... shouldn't say that, I would believe in lawyers if I have the money, to get the excellent lawyers, you've gotta have big chunk of money ready to be thrown away, because I don't have that kind of money sitting around, so I say "I don't believe in lawyers". I've actually heard of unbelievable stories about how people got screwed by their lawyers, I can recall a whole bunch from this forum. I do know an excellent immigration attorney that's very knowledgeble and helpful, but she is "Oh! Dang It Too Expensive To Afford Kind Of A Woman!". I too also wished that I would have found this website two years ago, but it's not too late to start. :star:
