AJ you would die if you lived here in NC. Javi and I spotted a bob cat crossing the road just down from our house, mid day. My dad said it must have been sick to be out during the day like that. Plus, we've seen bear in our yard. Many years ago when I was little, while we were on vacation, a big cat of some sort bit our dog across the back. The poor dog was on our porch almost dead when we got home. We have no idea how it got away from said animal but we're glad it did. I hate walking outside at night near my house. Too many things out in the woods that could get me.

Ack! That poor dog. :( My cousin's border collie got into a fight with a bobcat once. That cat laid one whole side of the dog's face wide open. I felt so bad for that dog. He completely recovered though. That should not have surprised me. This is also the same dog that got his head stuck in a trap once and pulled it out of the ground and drug the whole works home so my uncle could get it off of him.

Real love stories never have endings...

You know what else is scary? Possums. Those bastards are SCARY. They ate one of our cats. And they used to hang out by the cat dish outside and wait for food to be poured in the bowls.

We get one of those under the house every now and then. They hiss like crazy, and try to get up through the floor. Racoons are common here too. They like to ambush folks carrying groceries. When the unsuspecting person panics, and drops the bags, they make off with the food.

I sent Jules a text pic of me talking to a little possum, I was drunk

By 'little possum' do you mean an unattractive man or a real possum  ?

 No it was a cute little baby possum. He just sat there all night. Everytime I went out to smoke there he was...staring at me talking to him.

Tell me where mountain lions chill and I will add to my list of "dont go there" places.

In California, that would be any place where joggers go alone in the early morning hours.

Yep! Met one mountain lion and one sex offender!

you didn't disturb the mountain lion while it was eating, did you?

Assuming the animal is not cornered or with cubs, I thought you were supposed to run at it yelling and making big arm gestures.

i'm a city boy. i'm pissing my pants, running, & yelling the opposite direction.

Same here :)

Saludos,

Caro
