Tell me where mountain lions chill and I will add to my list of "dont go there" places.

sounds like a good reason to carry a .44 mag with you.

Or just don't go jogging in Cali. I'll go with that.

Only wild animals around me are geese and deer.

deer have been known to attack people too.

Vehicles, maybe.

deer%20hits%20truck_thumb.jpg

google "deer attacks"

a small sample.......

• Ron Dudek, 73, of Rancho Santa Fe, Calif., died Oct. 17 of complications from antler wounds inflicted to his face by a male deer that Dudek encountered when he went to pick tomatoes in his backyard garden. It was the nation's second deer-assault death in two years: Donald Sellers, 79, was fatally gored and mauled by his pet buck in Gilbertown, Ala., in 2003.

• Karen Morris, 56, of Clearlake, Calif., was hospitalized for 12 days with head injuries in an attack by a young buck Nov. 17 outside her home. The horns bruised Clifford Morris, 68, when he came to his wife's aid.

• In Covelo, Calif., on Sept. 29, Arnold and Jeannine Bloom returned to their pickup after watering a friend's vegetable garden. A small buck ran up to the truck and knocked the man on his back, California Department of Fish and Game warden Rusty Boccaleoni says. When Jeannine Bloom swung at the animal with a piece of firewood, it turned upon her and ripped a hole in her arm. The next day, Boccaleoni shot and killed the animal.

• Game wardens shot five bucks on the streets of Helena, Mont., after the deer threatened staffers at a day care center and a teenager delivering newspapers.

Wow! We don't get many bucks wandering around here, mostly mom and a couple of fawns every spring. He must be hiding somewhere. Remind me not to grow tomatoes anymore.

You know what else is scary? Possums. Those bastards are SCARY. They ate one of our cats. And they used to hang out by the cat dish outside and wait for food to be poured in the bowls.

We get one of those under the house every now and then. They hiss like crazy, and try to get up through the floor. Racoons are common here too. They like to ambush folks carrying groceries. When the unsuspecting person panics, and drops the bags, they make off with the food.

Run, Forrest, Run!

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

I've heard that raccoons are pretty adept at breaking into garbage bins - even the ones that have simple locks to keep the lid on.

*shudder*

There's a squirrel that lives in the tree in front of my unit.. that loves to mess with my garbage bags.

Don't you wish you lived in Texas so you could whip out the minigun and turn it into pate?

AJ you would die if you lived here in NC. Javi and I spotted a bob cat crossing the road just down from our house, mid day. My dad said it must have been sick to be out during the day like that. Plus, we've seen bear in our yard. Many years ago when I was little, while we were on vacation, a big cat of some sort bit our dog across the back. The poor dog was on our porch almost dead when we got home. We have no idea how it got away from said animal but we're glad it did. I hate walking outside at night near my house. Too many things out in the woods that could get me.

Just couldn't stay my @ss away!

I was going to suggest dynamiting the tree afterwards. For good measure.

That reminds me. There's a difference in cockroach sizes depending on the latitude you're in on Earth. If you're close to the tropics, then they're larger. If they are closer to the poles, they're smaller.

When I first saw a cockroach in Cambodia with wings the size of my thumb, I screamed to my wife. "Honey, honey...There's a big huge bug inside the bathroom." She grabbed a broom and went to the room. She smacked it while I was screaming for dear life.
