quick question:

we have our interview tomorrow and are getting all our papers together tonight. should we bring a copy of all the forms we initally submitted (I-130, 1-485 etc.) or just the supporting documents?

the interview notice says to bring all original supporting documents, plus a copy of each, and doesn't mention the forms (which i would hope they would have on hand, anyway), but i just wanted to know if anyone got asked to show those at their interview.

We had semi good news, our AOS was approved pending the medical exam form is filled out. The dr. claims USCIS changed what exams were needed, but he still left 4 boxes blank on the form. After another $200, we're still waiting for one vaccine to come in and then to mail the form back for approval.

Slightly frustrated!

I didn't need the forms at my interview. The interviewer had a file on his desk which contained all that we submitted. Just go with original supporting docs. Anyhoo...your interview was a week ago, so I'm sure my answer is no longer needed.

Hi Everyone!!

Just wanted to let you all know .... im APPROVED! woop woop!!!

Went for my interview on August 4 - we waited for about 45 minutes til we got called. Then me and hubby were in there for about 45 minutes in total.

It was really not what i expected at all!!! The IO asked us where we met, we said in Sydney Australia a long time ago, he then asked my american hubby what he was doing there. Hubby replied basketball....and then the rest of the conversation for the next 40 minutes was about basketball!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol.

The IO asked us if we happened to bring along some documents to prove our living together - so i gave him our phone bills and bank statements.

And that was it! The only reason why we were in there for that amount of time was because of the basketball talk which was slowing the guy down from ticketing our papers (he was making sure the info on our forms was the same on the computer - he was just ticking everything!).

So that was my experience! I was stressing for nothing!! So GC will be in the mail in 2 weeks, IO also told me i can go for Citizenship in 3 years time.

Im really happy now! Im a Permament Resident! Yay!! :star:
