It's been 16 days!! What is going on??

I first received word that my EAD was ordered on June 3rd. I received another notice that the approval was sent on June 9th. Today is the 19th, but still NOTHING in the mail. I'm getting upset. What is the deal? Is anyone else experiencing a similar delay receiving their EAD card in the mail after approval notices?

F1 > H1B > LPR

03/21/2009 - Got married to my beautiful wife

04/01/2009 - 04/11/2009 - Prepared all USCIS immigration forms and documents

04/11/2009 - Mailed (Fedex) I-130, I-485, I-693, I-864, I-765, G-325A, and I-131(Expedite) to Chicago Lockbox

04/14/2009 - Received by USCIS and signed for by J CHYBA

04/23/2009 - Received 4 NOA1 letters in mail (I-485, I-130, I-765, I-131)

04/27/2009 - Received Biometrics appointment letter. Date set for 05/13/09

05/05/2009 - Biometrics done early (12 minutes)

06/03/2009 - Case status for I-485, I-131, and I-765 available and updated online

06/03/2009 - EAD status online: "Card Production Ordered"

06/03/2009 - AP status online: "Approval Notice Sent"

06/04/2009 - Interview letter received in the mail. Letter issued on 05/29. Interview date set for 07/15/2009

06/08/2009 - Received AP Travel document in the mail.

06/21/2009 - Received EAD card in the mail

07/15/2009 - Interviewed. Went well. IO said, "your case seems approvable..."

07/16/2009 - I-485 Status Update: Card Production Ordered.

07/20/2009 - "Welcome Letter" & "I-130 approval letter" received in the mail.

07/27/2009 - GC in the mail

I`m not sure... But could it have anything to do with the card production delays they are having at USCIS? Or is it exclusively for the green cards? I`m sure your card is on the way. Either way, hang in there!

09/26/2008 --- Got married

04/03/2009 --- AOS package sent

07/13/2009 --- Interview in Detroit,MI. Approved!!!

07/25/2009 --- GC received! Total: 3 months 12 days from NOA1 to GC mailboxhappy.gif

05/17/2011 --- ROC package sent

05/25/2011 --- NOA1 received

06/27/2011 --- Biometrics

10/17/2011 --- Approved! confetti.gif

10/21/2011 --- Received Permanent GC

I hope it's not the delay too. We just got the second email this week, which I thought meant the EAD card was being mailed.

I don't know if you have to wait the 30 days to call or see if it got lost in the mail. I hope it arrives soon!

Ok, I can relax now. The EAD card came in the mail this morning. The mailman was at the box as I typed my last message.

Thanks Marinko. We lost about 2 weeks with the RFE til we received the letter, we over nighted it back, and they opened it and put it with our other forms. Then we waited another 3 weeks before we heard anything. Waiting is hard.

I seem to be on the same timeline as you (since I also got an RFE that delayed things a couple of weeks), so I will be looking for my EAD card about 10 days after they told me the card production was ordered (which was June 19th). :thumbs:

11/01: Moved to US on TN Visa (renewed annually through 2008)

03/10/09: Medical Exam

04/24/09: Submitted AOS package

04/27/09: Delivery Confirmation @ Chicago

05/01/09: NOA's Issued (rec'd 05/05/09)

05/12/09: Biometrics Appointment Notice Issued (rec'd 05/16/09)

05/28/09: Biometrics Completed

05/30/09: RFE for I-485 rec'd

06/04/09: Requested Initial Evidence Submitted

06/11/09: Case Resumed

06/16/09: EAD/AP Approved! (checked online @ USCIS website)

06/18/09: Interview Appointment notice rec'd (for July 21)
