Hey Shelly. Did you get your RFE yet?

We did receive the RFE letter May 15. It took an entire week to get to us in the mail!

It was for the I 864. They claimed they didn't have my 2008 tax return. It's odd because they didn't say they needed Jason's and we filed jointly in 2008 because we were married. So we printed off all of our 2008 tax stuff and the 864, wrote a new cover letter and mailed it Sat. morning. It should be there by now.

I'm hoping that it will get worked on by the end of the week maybe. Somewhat frustrated, but at least it was an easy fix.

Now back to the waiting.

At least it was fixable and all done now I still didn`t get any updates on my case since they`d resumed the case. Curious when we`ll hear something from them.... It`s been 2 weeks.

That stinks! I wonder if it has anything to do with our current visa's being something besides a K1. I hope you hear something soon!

We checked online tracking our RFE letter was signed for yesterday so it should at least get opened today, but who knows how long it will sit on someone's desk before it gets looked at again.

We received an email from CRIS saying our case was resumed a couple of days after the RFE had been delivered. So you`ll hear from them soon! This week for sure.

You`re right. It didn`t take too much time, even with an RFE! How are things with you? Have they resumed your case yet?

We are doing okay. Our case was resumed on Thursday May 21. So we lost 2 weeks. It does seem like K1 visas are going through much faster than any other. Frustrating since we're on a O1.

Our case is at NBC. There sure will be an interview.... It appears like people who go without interview are mostly K1s, if not exclusively. They do have to go through a lot prior to AOS though. Seems to be fair enough.

That's what we have been thinking also. I guess it does make sense since K1's already had a visa to get married approved. We did think about going that route but since he was already here, it just seemed silly.

I should start getting stuff ready for the interview. We've been making sure we get more photos together. Because he was already working we each have utilities in one or the others name but none (except the rental lease) with both our names on it. I need to work on that so I have some bills to take. I may get a few more sworn affidavits too.

We JUST received our interview letter!!! So you really should get ready for yours too! It`ll be soon!!!

We are living with my in-laws, so we don`t have any bills or leases together... The only things we have are a joint bank account, an affidavit from my mom-in-law (I`ll get one from my sister-in-law) and an IRA statement showing me as his beneficiary. and some pictures too, but not many...

The letter does tell you what to bring, but it`s the basic stuff... IDs, the letter itself and things like that.
