I think if the officer choose to they can make you retake the picture. I thought when you take passport picture (in VN), you/wife suppose to wear a white shirt. They made my wife choose one that was there. Hope you're asking a question not making fun of my thread.

That was what I was thinking after hearing that the counselor will start questioning things if the picture of the past is different compared to the present. It makes sense to ask about self appearance if "they" are different. I really would be interested to find out if they will deny a case because the ####### job done. I would have to agree that it is interesting to would have find out that they deny you or anybody on this reason.

just being sure thats all. When we went to get her passport picture, they said to dye her hair back to black. so i just want to see if anyone went to the interview with their colored hair.

You will hear all sorts of BS from everyone you contact. Hair color does not matter, simply put. One of the things they will do at the interview is take her fingerprint. When she arrives in the USA she will again give a fingerprint (called "biometrics") and if they match...no worries. If they ask a question about her hair color, just tell the truth. The only problem is that now we all know about it (so much for "only her haridresser knows for sure) :P

Hi guys and gals,

I just have a quick question about my wife's hair color. When we went to get our pictures taken for the passport and Gthree25 they said she should color her hair back to black. It's okay for me to have any hair color but she have to get her hair back to black. As of right now, the root of her hair is black and .... you know how it is when you color your hair and leave it for awhile. My question is, Can she go and get her hair color back or go back to black? Anyone have any problem with this? Thank you in advance.

well, it should not be a problem us women die are hair so much lol we need a new passport pic every month then, Who said she should paint her black?? If its really a problem where she looks totally differnt and you two are scared then just paint it black but this is the first time ever i heard somthing like this.

It's great reading this, cause I never even thought about it until now. My wife just got a haircut and didn't like it. So she got extensions, curled her hair, and dyed it brown. Plus she got a new job since we applied for the I-130. Now I think we might be looking at an interview in the very near future and it just never occurred to me to even worry any of this would be a problem. Good to know I'm not the only one who stresses about all the details.

Yeb, little thing like this would create a sweat for my wife and that's not what I want. I want to know the small details so I can help my wife to be as comfortable as she can. I've made 1 bad choice on her Choice of Agent and I've regret ever since. I didn't know of this website at the time. Could've been prevented if I search around for this site.

SOME OF YOU KNOW ABOUT MY SITUATION. :)
