My hair on visa picture is almost blonde, now I got old and have dark brown hair with some highlights but no one ever questioned me about my hair color. On my old passport, I was wearing green color contacts but never had problems either. I wonder wether IO asked at immigration or something if I get face lift or do nose job .....lol

gov't officials in asian countries can be very demanding. in china you have to wear a suit jacket when getting picture for visa extension (if foreigner), or passport. if you forget to bring one, they have a bunch of dirty ones that are all the wrong size.

once in your jacket you are pushed around by positioners, blinded by an enormous generator drive search light left over from WW2, and mug shotted many times. your worst picture is then photo shopped by a geek at a desk until you look like brad pitt, and the artist is satisfied with the product. it doesn't matter if it actually looks like you, in the end. it just matters that you let them push you around for a couple of hours.

In the end, all that you are enduring, just another potholes on the road to Visa Journey's Destination: VISA to America. It's all meaningless and all not too much effort to comply, so do it and never thinking back: too much!!! Just do it!

About hair color.... My fiancee hair was light brown at first then I told her let it go back

to it's natural black color, due to many passport photos she would need to take, also her

Vietnam Passport & ID showing that she her natural look. Then once

she over here in the USA she can change it again...

I don't think USA would say anything much about her hair color, all thou I think

some countries might question her about it..

Gray huh? Well, I don't know about my wife with gray hair. We're way too young to think about that for now. :)

What are you guys looking at in your picture, a bird or something? Your wife keeps on staring at the corner of the picutre! Haha just kidding. I hate how Vietnamese Photographers take pictures, they all do the same thing in Vietnam, look at something imaginative in one place in the picture. I kind of want to take my wedding pictures again whenever we get back to US. Our Vietnam pictures were really cheasy, but we needed a portrait of us to put infront of the wedding reception door. I am embarrassed to show our wedding pictures. We took better looking pictures with our point and shoot camera doing whatever and looking at real things!

We are not too young to have gray hair. Sometimes I forget I'm dangerously close to being an old fart.

Thanks. I just want to put this up to let people know that they actually told my wife to "dye her hair back to black".
