Hi guys and gals,

I just have a quick question about my wife's hair color. When we went to get our pictures taken for the passport and Gthree25 they said she should color her hair back to black. It's okay for me to have any hair color but she have to get her hair back to black. As of right now, the root of her hair is black and .... you know how it is when you color your hair and leave it for awhile. My question is, Can she go and get her hair color back or go back to black? Anyone have any problem with this? Thank you in advance.

Is her natural hair color different from the photos on her visa/passport? Doe the different hair-color change her appearance to make her very different from the photos of her visa/passport? If not, I would think it makes no difference what hair color she has....but if the change in color of hair is drastic, and if worries her/you that much, then go buy some hair dye at the and color it, its not such a big deal.

good luck,

-P

she does looks lovely as always but you know how it is with women and their hair especially when it comes to color. Guess she have to leave her hair until she get approved then dye her hair again.

Why would you even bring this up???? :D You will have an ulcer before this whole thing is finished... it doesn't matter what color her hair is, the goal the CO wants to achieve is to make sure he grants the Visa to someone who deserve it!

Say, she doesn't like her hair, and shave off her head... would that be considered as ground to deny her case? Maybe, may be not, who knows... now that she got NO HAIRS hihihihihi!

Relax guy! :)

Cheers,

Chuck and Kim

When in doubt, always ask Bac Ho and Chu Tich Nha Nuoc Nguyen Tan Dung. They will provide the best answers to your concern!!

I personally find it very ironic for someone living in an extreme control-freak environment (the gov't practically follows every of your move, starting with forcing you to register where you live) wondering whether what color their hair should be, so they could move/immigrate to another country.

Someone posted a question in here before about her concern that her boyfriend in VN having a tatoo and whether it will affect the outcome of the Visa process.

DPNH, have you ever had a post that included a positive comment? You are condescending to Americans and even more cruel to Vietnamese and the country of VN. I commented once before that perhaps if you could not offer something positive to just refrain from posting.

Can you explain to me the irony in the OP's request? Why do you think that they worry about the hair color?...because they live (or grew up) in a country where there is a lot of governmental control. I think the worry is a naturally resultant response from years of conditioning.

For many people, this process and the outcome is the most important thing in their lives and they do not want to make ANY mistakes. There is no harm in asking even if the question seems silly. Folks come here for support not to be made fun of, belittled or ridiculed. And if I were Vietnamese, I would take great offense to many of the posts that you have made (actually I do take offense on behalf of my fiancee).

And how about updating your timeline since you are far from a newbie here.

if u have doubt or having a problem about the hair color, go to the salon and dye it with black...and when ur visa gets approved, then color it again with brown..simple... just take the best salon who could do it for you without harming your hairs....

and also, if this works, try to tie your hair when u get a passport picture...

Eternally destined,

Man, you're kinda thick up there! But since you insist, let me spit it out so you can grasp the concept a little bit better.........

His wife/whatever already dyed her hair. So she's NOT a conservative gal by any definition. Now she's "attempting" to move to another country famous for its freedom of expression (unlike her control-freaked country) and she worries about her "artificial" hair color?

Please!!!! Laughable, but still stupid when it boils down to core content.

In regards to your comment about insult and injury, take a number and file your complains with Uncle Ho and Chu Tich Nguyen Tan Dung. I'm sure they'll care!

DPNH,

Listen to Todd! You do make weird uncalled for comments toward people (americans and vietnamese alike on this particular board). Maybe unlike you, we don't get that sense of humor. Did uncle Ho or Nguyen Tien Dung hurt you in someway? Remember this and it makes you feel a whole lot better: if it wasn't for Uncle Ho, you would be here in America!!!! If you don't understand where I'm going with this... make sure you ask! Thank you Ho Chi Minh! About the hairs part, just answer it with constructive advise.

Remember, there is no stupid question regarding HCM Consulate, just dumb answer.

DP, thank you for assisting me in making my case. Further evidence is not necessary.

But do let me know if you need help with the English translation of what I said before. I know I used some mighty big words (more than one syllable).

Ok, thanks to those who posts positive things about my situation. Someone in the future going down this same road will run into this same questions and this thread will hold the answer. Thanks for all replies.
