Sparsely populated midwestern states may get stimulus money for rail.... this makes no sense.

I have this thought. Why are rails being brought back? In the case of decades ago, the infrastructure was there in many parts of the city in NE. Now, there are a number of abandoned rail systems that have been replaced with highways.

Now, we are rebuilding that infrastructure again. It's such a waste. I'm not saying the construction of the rail link is a waste. Just the abandonment of some rails.

GM and Exxon purchased a bunch of lines and destroyed them so people would buy more cars and gas in the 60's. But they didn't go unpunished, were fined $5,000 for each railroad they purchased and destroyed under the anti-trust act.

See what happens when you let your president go gallivanting around the world? He gets ideas above his station. You should put one of those tags on him, keep him in the White House, let him play with that dog of his, and maybe the odd fishing trip.
