I-864A

I'm a full time college student and so I do not have sufficient income to support my husband alone. My aunt and uncle are cosponsoring me in support my husband. When I submitted the I-864A for my aunt NVC said that there was a problem with it, however, they could not tell me what the problem was until my case is complete. They also told me that whatever the problem was or if it was something missing that my husband would have to take it to the interview with him and that I didnot need to submit anything to NVC. Has this happened to anyone or does anyone know what the problem could be? I looked over the copy of the I-864A that I sent, and I didnt make any mistakes on it, so I dont know what the problem could be. Any thoughts?

Dear Sanam,

Hope everything's fine with u...R u done with the NVC issue?

And for the papers, did u submit all the financial papers for ur aunt - like 2008 tax file along with last three years tax transcript? Also, make sure ur hubby carries back statement for the co-sponsors....really not sure what actually the problem is ... but once I went to embassy to submit my K3 packet 3 while I met few ppl who were given blue sheets to bring bank statement....

So like, provide as much supporting docs as u can...and don't expect much from the US embassy Dhaka, they r pretty famous for harrasing ppl...

Good Luck..

Sonia

Hey Sonia,

how are you? I sent in my DS-230 earlier last week and NVC entered in into the system on Apr 13th. Now I'm waiting to hear the magic words "case complete" and waiting on an interview date! I'm hoping for a really early June date. Pray for me and please let me know how your interview goes. I will pray that you get your visa and can be reunited with you husband! :)

For the I-864 I did provide tax transcripts for the last three 3yrs, W-2 forms, pay stubs, and letter from employer for my aunt and uncle both. I will def get bank statements and mail it to my husband soon.
