From what I have read you use whatever name you want to be on your Greencard. It is your prerogative to decide which you would rather use (N.B if you use your Married name, in the section 'other names' put your maiden name and vice versa" . Either is fine, I personally used my Married name.

It is recommendable that you use your married name, since that's the name you'll use for life. Unless you'll be keeping your maiden name.

If you want your GC in your married name, then use your married name on all forms including the G-325a. You have the option to legally use the surname of your husband immediately after "I now pronounce you...."

We received an RFE for the EAD form questioning her legal name, but we just re-sent our marriage certificate and her birth certificate and they continued processing the forms and her EAD card was sent shortly thereafter. Send a copy of the marriage CERTIFICATE with the AOS package. The marriage license is not the proper document to prove that the marriage took place. The marriage certificate is the proper document to submit.
