Weird Friday Night

Last night at 1:15am I went to the ER. At 11pm Friday night, I felt like I really needed to go to the bathroom(#1 hehe). But I was having problems and them felt burning, etc sorry to get so detailed! But after a couple hours of it getting worse, and knowing I couldn't just go to a doctor's office, we decided I should go to the ER. I have not had to be in a hospital for myself since I was like 4yrs old (for a cut I got from a fan falling on my eye lid). So I was soooo nervous and couldn't believe in the middle of the night we were going to the hospital!! I just didn't think I could get through the night in my condition. I am fine, just have a urinary tract infection...my first... :( We were at the hospital for a couple hours, they took a urine sample and tested it, etc. I'm taking medicine now so I feel better. We didn't get home til 4am. Crazy! I'm also drinking tons of cranberry juice.

Earlier on Friday night around 8pm, a hacker accessed our computer but Sujeet figured it out before they did anything, we think. Sujeet walked to the computer to do something, saw a word document open, minimized it, then started to open firefox to come online. Then he noticed the mouse on the screen moving on it's own. So Sujeet moved the mouse and again it was moved somewhere else. Sujeet realized what was going on, also by a symbol he saw at the bottom of the page that said someone was on his server/computer. SO when I walked over, Sujeet was furiously moving the mouse around, and having a mouse fight with someone who got into our computer!! :o It was freaky. The hacker was trying to actually change the password for the server while Sujeet was "wrestling" the mouse away in different directions. Finally I said, can't you just disconnect the net!! He said "oh, yeah..."and pressed the net button off and it stopped. He has changed a bunch since then so hopefully we're OK. And the word document that was open, the hacker had opened but it was the only thing that showed opened in the documents list. Sujeet thought I had opened the document earlier and left it, he was surprised when I said it wasn't me! It was just a document I had printed for some friends, it only said their first names on it and had a graphic on it. So nothing important.

What a strange Friday night/Saturday AM!!

That is pretty strange and I'm glad you're ok!

I must admit laughing at the image of Sujeet and the hacker moving and counter moving the mouse. I envisioned this OK button that the hacker was trying to click that would destroy the universe as Sujeet is furiously moving it away as it approaches.

Yeah.....I'm weird.

Stina take lots of fluids and get the damned organism out of your system... I just would not wish anyone to go through what I have been going through... sooooooooooooo please drink lots of water.... it will mean lots of piddling (pardon the graphic description) but it will flush your kidneys. As this is your first UTI - you stand a good chance of ridding yourself of it... take care... rest... lots and lots of water and cranberry juice.

Paul and I met on the Bazaar on the 14th January (he joined my progressive rock forum that day)

July 3rd he flew to England to meet me

We fell in love while he drove all over the place coz I cannot read maps (we were supposed to go to Ingleton - but touched Darlington 4 times, Pierce Bridge 6 times, Scotch Corner twice and Bernard Castle twice and we never did make it to Ingleton)

It has been so long and so much has happened in between...

Arrived in Houston on October 29th 2006

Pyridium is something that turns your weewee bright orange... but they say it is quite effective... did not work for me though - too far gone am afraid

Did they do a culture before giving you that antibiotic? Ideally they should... coz otherwise you could be taking something that may not even work.
