Hi everyone! I have been a member for sometime now but never posted. This site has been a wealth of information and I felt it time to jump in!!! My fiance and I met in 2000 online and after I had 2 failed marriages realized that Charloh was the man for me. I went to Kenya in September 2005 with my 20 yr. old daughter and 2 year old granddaughter. We had a wonderful time and after all those years of phone calls, chats and emails we felt so comfortable with each other. Charloh proposed and I accepted! We are now waiting for our NOA2 and it seems CSC is moving quickly. I know we will need your advice soon...am wondering if anyone can explain what happens once the NOA2 arrives? Thanks again!

Met online 5/2000 on AOL

Continued long chats, phone calls,etc.

Feelings grew :)

Went to Nairobi, Kenya 9/05 for 3 weeks

Charloh proposed I accepted!

Welcome miyongo.

Congrats on your engagement.

Well after you get your NOA2 the case is transferred to NVC (national visa center) It spends a few weeks there. They assign you a number and then in a few weeks they send it on to the embassy your fiance will be going to. You should read up "Embassy Info" and ask on here how the embassy you are going through handles their cases. Each embassy can be slightly different. Most of the time it involves paperwork, fees and medical before you actually get an interview at the embassy.

Good luck and best wishes,

Baileyj

Hope this helps. Click on the link and it is flow chart for the K1 visa. But once it gets to NVC there very short time and then sent overseas to the consulate. The consulate will then send out package to the fiancee of what they need to do and sometimes the interview date and time are with the packet. Good luck.

Hello Everyone,

I'm new here too and to be honest I'm not even sure how I got here.. but

I'm here anyways. I am quite a way through my process as my timeline shows ( I think) I may have even done that wrong...lol. My advice to anyone if they can afford it is get a good Immigration Lawyer and check out their cridentials before engaging them, see what their track record is like and then at least you have legal backup if any arguments arise and they have all the case details and are able to prevent a lot of the problems that could ensue due to people like us getting very confused over what really is just simple form filing but made complicated by things having to be repeated over and over again.

I read on here only yesterday about a couple who went to the Interview in London and they was so surprised by the laid back attitude of the IO that they could not begin to understand why they got so stressed out over it all..The UK Passport Office can be more stressful just getting a replacement passport...
