I just read online that the Pakistani Embassy was close due to some type of terrorist alert. Will that affect the case I filed for my husband? I still haven't been approved for my I-130 so that must mean my case is still in the USA and it hasn't been transferred to Pakistan right???

The US embassy in Islamabad reopened on 4/13.

Read the Warden notices on the website and you will see this happens kinda regularly.

depends on how long the consulate is closed for.... according to news reports just one day

the process is

USCIS service center approval

NVC processing

Consulate interview

The file remains at whatever location the processing is to occur.. it cannot get ahead of itself
