Yeah.

I said way too much, and I do regret it. (My conscience is hitting me right now).

So I'm sorry to everyone for making you read that.

It was pretty "arsehole-ish" of me. I can lose my train of thought, make stupid comments and make myself look pretty stupid and down right rude.

Very sorry. I really am.

I know how you feel about the criminal part though.

I was fingerprinted and photographed. My fiance was going back with me, and he hadn't a clue what was going on until I called him after being kicked out to the check in booths. I'm not even going to attempt to get back into the US until my visa is ready.

Quite an emotional experience, and I don't want it again.

I'm sure you wouldn't either. No one would.

The guy who refused me was really straight forward. Didn't even let me explain myself, he did tell me in the end though to do the K-3 visa.

I just found it very strange that he got my birth date wrong right off my passport. :/

Though, I think land border would have less harrassing, but I'm sure it varies between who's working and what kind of day they were having, and also when you cross.

One time I was questioned for about 10 minutes, and on the way back I got questioned for 30 seconds. The later one was also 5am, haha.

Though, I think for the stress of the person crossing, land border would be better.

You have to catch a plane at the airport, so I'd be scared of missing my plane and saying something bad. At least with land border crossing you can take a plane the next day.

Hm. Just my thoughts about it.

You'll be okay. Like everyone else here as said, just bring strong proof of ties to Canada and ALWAYS be truthful. You're doing nothing wrong by wanting to visit with your loved one. I have only crossed in major airports in Western Canada. Vancouver was quite odd, because when I passed through, I was 18 at the time, going to see my boyfriend, and the officer didn't do a single thing. But there was an middle eastern couple ahead of me in the line, that went before me, and it appeared that he grilled them to hell..

And Edmonton is nice too, he asked me questions and answered them too. It was odd.

And now I always fly out of Calgary...and it's an 50/50 experience. Sometimes, the officers are nice and some make me want to jump in a hole and stay there. One of the better experiences was in December, my flight was canceled because of the weather, (I found out AFTER I'd cleared customs and been asked 40 questions...I was so red in the face from that), so I ended up rebooking my flight for a date 3 days later, and that time, the officer was nice. >_<

But...plane is definately better than land.
