hi guys, just want to be sure on who completes and signs the forms for the AOS? is it me the wife or my Husband who is the UScitizen?

second question: i applied for the SSN when i arrived on the k1 and my card came out, now that am married and my last name has changed,

will this be the SSN that i will use for life ? if not when is the best time to update it, when we fill for AOS or before?

third question: what is biometric?

thank you in advance

1. The USC has no status to adjust so it is the Immigrant who is filing to adjust their status so they need to complete and sign the forms

2. SSN is issued for life, You can get your name changed on the card to your married name if you wish.

3. Biometrics is where you get your fingerprints taken and your digital photograph.

1. My wife never filled out or completed any form in this process. I did them all and she signed. How you do it is your choice. The AOS is a function for the immigrant, not the USC (except I-864). Your husband is certainly allowed to do this for you.

2. Your SSN will always be the same. Wait until you have your green card, go back and change your name at the SS office. There is no big hurry to change your name, the number will stay the same. It will be easier when you have your green card in your married name for ID.

3. Biometrics is fingerpints and a photo.
