Yeah , you cannot really rely on anybody at the service centers. Half of them know the rules and half don't. It's like flipping a coin, you never know who your going to get and how accurate the information is that their giving you. Sucks if they don't fingerprinting you especially since we all pay to get it done.

I didn't get a fingerprint appointment - but I had recently had one with my I751 (incomplete at the time i filed for citizenship)

It's a bit hit and miss if you have recent fingerprints - sometimes they will fingerprint you again for citizenship, sometimes they will not... seems to vary too wildly to be able to give a firm answer either way.

WHEN I CALLED THE SERVICE SENTER I ASKED THEM IF IT IS REALLY TRUE THAT FINGERPRINTS ARE VALID FOR 15 MONTHS AND THEY SAID NO. THE Y SAID WITH EVERY NEW APPLICATION NEW FP APPOINTMENTS ARE NEEDED....

I AM A LITTLE FRUSTRATED. I AM STILL PATIENT.

Yes I was... but then i paid attention here and realized that some people did not.

Once I got my interview letter i didnt care about the fingerprints anymore lol

Hey cookiee, I'm not sure about that. I got my FP last may (2008) for I751 but yet did my FP again for N400 on april 14. The old FP should have been still valid, no?

Cookiee had it done last August, USCIS is probably expecting the interview and oath would be done for Cookiee before this August, that's prbably why USCIS is not sending her to do the biometrics again.

If you have yours done last May and haven't receive the interview letter yet, USCIS is probably expecting your interview and oath date would be past this coming May, so they ask you to do your biometrics again.

This thing with USCIS recently is really hit and miss, if you've received the biometrics appointment, go ahead and do it again, no hassle, if you haven't and they think they want you to do it again, they'll most likely make you do it again during your interview, so either way, no worries.

Cookiee had it done last August, USCIS is probably expecting the interview and oath would be done for Cookiee before this August, that's prbably why USCIS is not sending her to do the biometrics again.

Cool! Glad you got it on time! Now you don't have to worry. They may even let you finish the interview and do the oath at the same day, apply for expedited passport, everything done before you have to leave to see your family, isn't it great? I think so. Best of Luck to you and your family!
