got a letter from NVC but NOA2 not received

Hi everyone,

I am new to the forum. I did some search but couldn't find any similar cases.

I filed I-130 in late Feb and received NOA1 one week later. Last week I received a letter from NVC with my case # on it. Within the letter there is also a DS-3032 form and AOS invoice.

I don't know if my I-130 has been approved or not since I never received NOA2 from USCIS. I checked on their website and my case status is still pending.

Is there anyone in similar situations? What should I do now?

It just means that USCIS did not update your case on the system. Gongratulations.

Thanks for the reply. I understand that they don't update quite well on the website, but shall I be worried that I haven't received anything from regular mail? How long does it usually take from approving the case to sending out NOA2 for them?

call the USCIS and ask if/when your paper NOA2 was sent

i have yet to receive my paper NOA2 and it was supposedly sent out on march 26........ my NVC letter was dated april 8

the USCIS rep informed me that:

my NOA2 letter has not been returned to USCIS (cali)

if i want a paper NOA2 i have to fill out a form requesting a duplicate NOA2, the cost of replacement NOA2= 340$

im waiting a month to see if it shows up

i think its a racket

Hi Justucia, I believe we are in the exact same situation. The website shows my case was updated (w/o status change) on Mar 25th. My NVC letter was dated Apr 3rd, and I still don't have the NOA2 paper letter! I am also waiting for a month to see how it goes.

I haven't yet called the USCIS, but I received the letter from the NVC on this past Friday without ever getting the NOA2. Seems odd that this is happening to multiple people at the same time.
