hello everyone

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa

my case is about AP stage and my wife is USC and she is there now , i have been stuck with this more 100 days.

i had my interview in Jerusalem in September 2008, after my interview the officer gave me paper that they require some other papers :

*Moroccan original birth certificate because i was born there.

*Israeli police certificate.

*my wife divorce paper.

*evidences for our relation pix, phone bills..etc.

so i have done collecting and waiting this papers and provided everything to the consulate in January 2009. then we started tracking our case and checking by emails every 2 weeks and they were just answering our case is pending administrative processing and now its more than 100 days still pending AP.

the last email my wife sent was asking about where is our case pending AP and why it takes too long ...etc, the consulate replied my wife FAQs with this email :

-------------------------------------------------------

Dear Madam:

The administrative processing is office processing. The case was not sent anywhere, the file is still at the Consulate. Once we complete the processing on the case in our office we will let your husband know.

We hope the above information is helpful,

Respectfully,

 - any advice for us ?

regards

Name and fingerprints are sent to USA for checks in many data bases. Most cases of AP run around an average of 6 months on CR-1 cases for men coming from certain countries. Yes the embassy/consulate can keep the file and do background checks locally as well as field investigations. Just be patient and keep inquiring on your case via the embassy or DOS in USA. Good luck

my other questions :

* is it possible the AP is just for they wants more evidences later?

* do i need to make new medical exam and police certificate again after the AP finished?

AP could be to verify the documents you submitted, name and fingerprint checks, family members, etc. The medical is good for one year from the date it was taken. Police and DS forms are time sensitive and if they are expired the embassy should inform you of what you would need updated once they are ready to proceed with your processing.
