Hi everyone,

I am new to the forum. I did some search but couldn't find any similar cases.

I filed I-130 in late Feb and received NOA1 one week later. Last week I received a letter from NVC with my case # on it. Within the letter there is also a DS-3032 form and AOS invoice.

I don't know if my I-130 has been approved or not since I never received NOA2 from USCIS. I checked on their website and my case status is still pending.

Is there anyone in similar situations? What should I do now?

Thanks!

EDIT: The application is for my mom. I am a US citizen.

If you have a NVC case number for your mom that means your case is at NVC and you've got a NOA2. I recieved a letter in the mail almost a month after I knew. You should use your case number and call NVC to check the status of your case. You have the option to speak with an operator or use the automated system (which is not always current as it updates a day or two later sometimes), I'd recommend speaking to an operator.

If you want to get through NVC quickly use the Wiki guides and check the NVC forum for any questions/advice.

Your case MUST be approved if you have a NVC#!!! Check with NVC. Don't rely on the USISC website! It still says my case is pending as of June 2008 which was the last update we ever saw on it!!!

Thanks A&M, that is very informative reply! Now I know my I-130 is approved!

I am concerned that I haven't received NOA2 from regular mail. Do you know how long it usually takes for USCIS to send the letter out after approval? I have googled and saw some cases that the petitoner never received NOA2 letter and the fee of having a duplicate one is insane $200!
