ITIN Application

is there a way or a possibility that i could track/check the status of my ITIN application?

i would just like to know..

those who applied and already received their ITIN, how long before u received it from the day it was filed?

I sent in the W7 for my wife late last month and I haven't heard word yet. I don't think there is a way to track it. Or at least not one that I know of.

my w7 wa mailed 2nd week of Feb. and until now i dont received anything about my ITIN.. its almost 8 weeks now..

I filed 4 weeks today for my husband along with the tax return, nothing yet

i sent in a notarized photocopy of my passport only..some says i need more docs. like bc,mc, etc. and all should be notarized.. so until now im just waiting for the mail from IRS if they will give me TIN or deny it..

Your timeline says that lizzy received a social security number in January. Why would you need an ITIN? Just curious. Also, it's faster and easier to get a SSN than an ITIN.

My understanding is that it's better to have the passport notarized by the U.S. embassy if the individual isn't in the U.S. Or, if you're in the U.S., you can go to an acceptance agent to have your documents validated and to submit your ITIN application.

I just sent my ITIN application a week ago, so I'm in the same situation as you.

im not in the US yet so i am not able to get SSN yet,can only get ITIN for my husband's tax.. he put me and our baby on his tax..
