I pray that this info helps someone. I am a disabled veteran. My entire income is based soley on my disabilty award from the VA, and social security disability. I was required a week ago to submitt my AOS packet to the NVC, this is what I sent, and it was ALL accepted (praise God):

1. Bank statements for the past 3 years showing the amounts of my disability payments (just the months of December i.e. Dec 2009, Dec 2008, Dec 2007)

2.Form ssa 1099 for the past 3 years (although this disabilty award is not taxed, it's still counted as income at NVC )

3. Statement from VA showing benefit amount increase for the year 2009 (Va disability benefit is not considerd a reportable income, it's not taxed but counted as income at NVC).

Hopes this helps someone. I've just submitted his police clearence info, immigrant visa application, etc. We are now waiting for an interveiw date.
