Undocumenteds tend to have ####### skillsets, Americans with similar skillsets are culturally derided as losers and slackers and underachievers.

So the question really is, will the slacker bum underachiever who lost his dishwashing job to an illegal please step forward?

what's wrong with shouting in spanish in public places justa?? there's no law that says we gotta yell in english.. are you out of your fukcin mind?? why do you mind the business of others so much? if you have so much with your furniture and cooking workshops, how do u get time to go to the malls and find the illegals sh!tting on the bathroom floors??

do you also teach the kids to balance their checkbook? and bro, just because the kids in the country @ss area where u live don't go to the mall, if there's one 50 miles around, doesn't mean teh other kids will do the same..

I'm sure a lot of kids hang around the malls without buying anything..and yelling, but I guess is in english so there's no problem..

As long as the kids know how to read and write English, I careless if they speak Spanish or not. On the other hand, if they could speak and write Spanish and lived here for 20 years, yet still could not read and write English then I'd have no respect for them. Period. This includes Cambodians. Different language, but same reasoning.

I think most people don't care if they hear someone yelling in Spanish, it just hurts justashooter's sensibility..

That's why I said I wasn't even referring to you! I was referring to justashooter who chose to base his reply post on my "misspelling". I knew you were just playing along...which is why I said I wasn't directing my anger at you...

that's a thin line.. languages at work.. only the paranoids think spanish speakers talk smack ALL the time behind their backs.. but, if there were other foreigners in my place of work, I wouldn't mind if they speak their langauge while they're carrying private conversations, for group conversations regarding work, Iguess i'd prefer a common language, which would be english.. but if I see another spanish speaker and just say hey whats up, i dont see what's the big deal of saying it in spanish

That distinction is crucial and many non-English speakers (in my experience, mostly Indians) miss it. I've heard people talk in Hindi during team meetings. That kind of conduct is awful for team morale.

So, if a manager asks people who do that to stop and only talk in foreign languages in private conversations, that's cool. And if the offenders don't listen, then I'd even say that asking that English-only be spoken in all cases is also ok. But only if it's a serious problem to the team and only if the offenders can't be canned.

Don't forget me...my freckles are dark brown. If you blur your eyes, I look like a Mexican who's been locked up in closet for awhile.
