Expecting Interview in June

You said we went to stars and stripes lounge and stood in line for fingerprint...does that mean your husband was allowed inside the lounge and embassy?

hello............... VISA EXPERIENCE.

it ws on 8 june. i and my hubby went to mumbai by car so we left on 7 th night and reached at stars and strips lounge at 6 am .

at 7 am. officers of VFS came and opened the doors of lounge we entered in lounge at 7:05. they served snacks. and we left lounge at 7:15 and directly reached at consulate.

already there were some people waiting thr for security check , went inside and got security check done quickly. then we stand in line for finger print it ws on window 3. where they collected interview letters . and finger prints. then they told us to wait. soon my name ws anounced and i ws in front of indian officer. he collected my passport and handed me my originals and asked folowing few questions--

Wht is yr husband's name?

who is yr sponser?

whr does yr husband work? on which post?

whr does yr father in law works?

whr does yr mother in law works?

who sponsered them?

how you two met ?

love marriage or arranged?

where did you work?

which degree do you hold now?

who else is in yr hubby's family?

do you want translator?

at 7:50 he told me to wait again until CO announce name...

till 10:15 i was waiting for my name to b announced.. actually i ws in almost sleeping mode .........lol.. as i traveled whole night

i was too tired to feel any tension of interview ..

at 10: 15 my name ws announced and i ws facing CO. she ws nice lady, greated with big smile.

she asked me if i know english. though i asked for translator, i choose interview in english only

after taking oath . she asked me following questions-

where does yr hubby work?

how mch time 4m wedding

how many days he stayed after wedding?

did he come again? when?

how you met?

CONGRATULATIONS yr visa is approved we will send you yr visa in courier .

i asked if i can collect visa in evening . she said to chk at VFS. ( NO PHOTOS, NO EMAILS OR ANYTHING WS asked) but its safe to take them as they asked from others.

at 4:30 pm i we.nt to VFS and thr ws already long line thr . at 5 the window opened and we went inside with token numbers. they hand sealed documents with passport.

FEW tips:

dress accordingly.. its eqally important.

try to give inteview in english if you can speak well.

dont panic.

nope i went alone in lounge. yea if you buy entry pass u can sit inside the lounge until yr wife returns from consulate.

i stood in line for finger print in consulate after security check, not in lounge.they took us to consulate by bus from the lounge.

I am home, my husband just went to work. i don't have a single worry on my mind. POE was a piece of cake. flight was great. everything just fell right into place after i got my passport.

Wishing everyone a safe trip to their new homes and everyone still waiting a breezy interview experience.

My wife said her passport and visa paperwork arrived in the mail yesterday. So all is left is for her to fly here next week. My best goes out to you both. My prayers are with you th3mo...I know exactly how you feel!!!! I can't sit still, my mind is racing...can't sleep well...feeling like I am going to explode!!! We will be just fine...just get done with the interview already!!!
